I came to this journey as an eco-feminist. The connection to mother earth has always been a part of my life. Coming into the teaching of spirit through the lens of the native traditions has given me insights and tools that are foundational to my work and my actions. The heartbeat of mother earth is in my heart, part of me. When I drum I connect to a deeper voice within that gives me guidance, and grounds me, while expanding my connection to all the infinite possibilities that align with my soul’s purpose.
Learning to hear the voice of the drum opens your world to new possibilities. The drum will help you cut through all the clutter and chaos we find ourselves in these days. Peace is possible when we hear the guidance from our own inner voice, our souls voice.
When we go deep into our subconscious, we are able to open to the inner voice that’s connected to our highest purpose. When we get to follow a deeper truth about ourselves, the dreams we can build by listening, we come home to our own Becoming.
My love for the drum has only gotten deeper over time. I have taught hundreds of people to make their own drums. To take people on this journey has been one of the most rewarding processes I get to facilitate.
I love the connection to the elements. The honoring of all the materials that it takes to build this drum. There is so much to aligning the vision for one’s life with the spirit of the animal hide used for the drum head. All the sacrifices that happen for this sacred material to unite as a drum that moves your soul and clears the energy for your vision to come to life.
Here is how it works:
This journey will begin with a pre-session. This is where we get to dive into your intentions for the drum and your life. You then pick a drum head that most aligns with that intention. Picking from Horse, Buffalo, Elk, or Deer. (depending on availability)
Then two days of ritual, transformational work which includes guided trance drumming work, group shares and other ceremonial acts while weaving the drum making through – out as you learn how to channel your deepest life intentions into the creation of your own drum.
During these two days, we will learn the ways that the drumbeat, the heartbeat of mother earth, can clear out on a cellular level, the crystals that are keeping you stuck.
Every time you use the drum, you are activating that intention and connection to the support of the others who shared the weekend with you.
We laugh, we cry, we share, we build. We build our dreams, we build our drums together, and we build community. A community of people who will know your intentions, and support you to grow your way. We drum to call in our guides.
You will leave with a completed drum and beater stick.

After the drums have dried you be invited to join a Drum Awaking Ceremony where you wake up the voice of your drum and your connection to its healing abilities.
